Terms and Conditions for Online Payments Service 

Securian Financial offers this payment service ("Service"), through its payment vendor, Fidelity Information Services (“FIS”), as a convenience option to you, our valued customer ("you" or "your"). By using this Service, you understand that your banking information will be shared with FIS.

In addition to these Terms and Conditions, you should review the Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQ”) and Securian Financial’s Privacy Notice. The FAQ page includes important information about how the Service works. Securian Financial’s Privacy Notice includes important information about the type of information collected about you, how that information is collected, and what can be done with that information. Securian Financial does not collect, store, or otherwise have access to the banking information you provide to FIS when using this service. You should also carefully review FIS’s Privacy Policy for more information about how your banking information may be stored. Please print and retain a copy of these Terms and Conditions for your personal records.

Authentication and Authorization for Service Usage

  • This Service incorporates commercially reasonable methods to authenticate your identity and the information that you have supplied for making a payment through this Service. You will not be able to submit a payment until the Service authenticates you and you will not be allowed to use the Service to pay your premium until you have read these Terms and Conditions and have acknowledged doing so by clicking the "I Accept" button at the bottom of this page.
  • As the user of the Service, and upon your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, you will have submitted your bank account information (your "Designated Account") through FIS. You are responsible for any legal, regulatory, or banking penalties and fees that may be assessed for supplying false information to us for use with the Service.
  • This Service may be used for payment on both consumer and commercial accounts.
  • If the Designated Account is a banking account for your Business, it must be one for which you are a properly authorized signer or authorized user.
  • By preauthorizing and scheduling recurring or future premium payments, you understand and accept that use of this Service is an ongoing authorization for us to charge your Designated Account until this authorization is revoked.
  • We will continue to initiate a charge against your Designated Account according to your instructions for each recurring or scheduled future premium payment until you cancel or revoke this payment option or you change the Designated Account. You may do so by accessing this Service through our online service center or contacting our Customer Service at 1-800-293-6047.
  • By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you authorize us to initiate a charge to your Designated Account according to your instructions.
  • By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you represent and warrant that:
    1. You are 18 years old or older;
    2. You are using your actual identity and any information you provide is accurate and complete;
    3. You are legally authorized to make payments using the Designated Account you have provided to us;
    4. You have read and agreed to our Privacy Notice; and
    5. Your use of the Service will not violate any local, state, national or international laws or regulations. 

Modifications and Amendments

These Terms and Conditions are the legal binding agreement between us and you with respect to this Service. You are agreeing to the current provisions of these Terms and Conditions each time you inititate a one-time, recurring or schedule a future payment(s) using this Service. These Terms and Conditions may be modified or amended from time to time and may have changed from the last time you used the Service.Please review the Terms and Conditions prior to making any payment to be ensure you still agree with its provisions. Your use of the Service after any changes to these Terms and Conditions will constitute your agreement to such change(s).

Termination or Discontinuation

We reserve the right to terminate this Service at any time, or to terminate your use of the Service. If we terminate your use of the Service, you will need to pay your premium in another manner.

Disputes

If there is a dispute regarding the Service, you agree to resolve the dispute in accordance with the dispute resolution procedures and governing law as outlined in your insurance policy.

These Terms and Conditions are the complete and exclusive statement of the agreement regarding the Services between you and us. It supersedes any proposal or prior agreement, oral or written, and any other communications between you and us relating to the Service. If there is a conflict between what one of our employees tells you and the terms of this document, these Terms and Conditions will prevail.

You should print and retain this document for safekeeping and reference at any time during usage of the Service.

BY CLICKING THE ACCEPTANCE BOX, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN ADDITION TO Securian Financial’s PRIVACY NOTICE AND YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THEIR TERMS, AND ANY FUTURE AMENDMENTS, WHICH MAY BE MADE FROM TIME TO TIME.
